My name is Iris and I am proud to finally able to share my experience and knowledge with you. I am a proud mother of 3 and although having 3 kids running around in the house can be chaotic at times, for the most part, I consider it a bliss. Children are blessings and we should really start taking care of them the moment they begin their very first heartbeat within our womb.

Seek Confirmation from a Healthcare Professional
Most people got to know they are pregnant through pregnancy confirmation methods and some had their suspicion after experiencing a few of those typical pregnancy symptoms. Whatever the case, it is imperative that you follow-up with an appointment with a gynecologist. Getting confirmation from a professional not only give you a peace of mind, it will also help ensure both you and your baby are in good shape and condition.
Prenatal care is important and it will be a good starting point for you and your baby and it is highly recommended that you start as early as possible. Apart from conducting typical medical care and counselling, a prenatal doctor will also help educate and discuss with you on things like pregnancy discomforts, health history, due date and risk factors base on age and health conditional etc. Regular visits will also allow you to track the progress of your baby’s development and it will also give you the opportunity to ask questions and clear your doubts. This is probably a good time for you to think of a name for your baby so that you will have ample time to finalize what name to give him/her.

There are pregnancy clothing for various stages of pregnancy and it is important that you know the right ones to wear throughout your pregnancy. Imagine you are 4 weeks pregnant and you start wearing maternity clothing that is meant for those in their last trimester, not only will it look funny, you will not feel comfortable wearing them too.
If you are on a budget and do not mind wearing used maternity clothing, starting contacting your friends, siblings and colleagues who have given birth before, I am sure some of them will be more than willingly to let you inherit some of their masterpieces.

Lifestyle Changes – What to Expect?
Now that you are pregnant, it is very important that look towards having sufficient nutrition for you and your baby and make changes to your lifestyle which will be extremely beneficial to both you and your baby.
Below is a list of items to start you off:
– Stop drinking and smoking
– Cut down on late nights
– Avoid strenuous & stressful exercises and activities like canoeing, kickboxing etc
– Anger management, learning to control your temper goes a long way
– Avoid places that are crowded and smoky
